Science behind the home paternity test
Once we extract a 21 genetic marker profile from the samples of the tested individuals, we proceed to compare the profiles. If we see that all genetic markers on the profile of the alleged father and the child are identical and match at every point, we can confirm that the tested father is the biological father of the child. If genetic markers do not match, then the tested father is not the biological father of the child.
Including The Mother
Home paternity testing with the mother’s sample provides results that are in excess of 99.99% accurate in cases where the tested, alleged father is the biological father. On the other hand, if the mother’s sample is not included, the results will show a probability of paternity in excess of 99.9%.
